I Flew to Holland on a Private Jet For a Cup of Coffee

My husband, Colton, works for Northern Jet Management, a private jet company at the Gerald R. Ford Airport in Grand Rapids, MI. Occasionally, there are empty flights that we are blessed to have the opportunity to hop on. There was a random flight on a Tuesday morning from Grand Rapids to Holland, MI.

The flight left at 8:15am, right as the sun was rising. It was the perfect excuse to go for a cup of coffee at one of our favorite coffee shops, 205 Coffee Bar. This was my sister’s first time on a private jet. It was so fun to watch her soak up the experience.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have more than a couple of minutes to take pictures in front of the plane, but I was still glad I brought my camera to capture the experience.

The flight was short and sweet, about 15 minutes. The pilots took us for a little lap over Lake Michigan. It was such a treat to see the peaking fall colors in the trees from the air. Colton picked us up from the airport in Holland and brought us to the coffee shop for some fall drinks. The overall experience was a ton of fun and we will certainly do this again in the future.
