Halloween Family Photos

On Monday, October 21st, I had the pleasure of capturing family photos for the Tuinstra family. Jessica’s favorite holiday is Halloween, so it felt important to her to get super fall-y photos, with a goal of getting a black and white portrait of the whole family in their costumes to hang on the wall in their home.

I went location scouting with my husband the week prior to this session. Jess’ vision was lots of fall color, but I wanted to choose a place with some character rather than just your run of the mill path with trees in the background. We stumbled upon a trail with beautiful water features, a hill, fall foliage, trails, and a playground right near their home in Belmont. It was perfect.

I would love to go back to this location again for couples photos or even mini sessions in the future. I have so many ideas that there just wasn’t enough time to act on in this single session. If you like this location, please reach out and give me an excuse to go back!
