Pet Portraits at Shoreline Flats, Holland MI

When the opportunity to take Halloween themed portraits of pets presents itself, you can’t say no.

Leila, a staff member at Shoreline Flats (an apartment community in Holland, MI) reached out to me with her vision for the monthly resident event for October. She wanted to invite all of the residents in the community to the dog park on-site and host pet portraits with cider, beer, and social time for the pups. She called it “Yappy Hour.” Leila also has an engagement session booked with me at the end of October, more on that later.

There were three backdrops that the staff had set up for the pups and their owners to use. The event was right during golden hour making for the perfect lighting. It was a rare 68 degree in the middle of October without a cloud in the sky; we couldn’t have wished for better weather.

I had so much fun hanging out with all the sweet dogs and their owners during this event. If you’re looking to host a fun event like this, I’m SO there.
