Battle Creek, MI Family Farm Session

Since labeling myself as “Photographer” and pursuing this dream of mine, I have become such an emotional and sappy person. I think there’s something to be said about doing something that’s so fulfilling, and how that can change any human. I no longer hold space for things I don’t enjoy. Someone told me a few months back that if asked to do something it should either be a “Hell yeah.” or a “No thanks.” This way of thinking has given me so much perspective and has allowed me to spend my time on the things that matter the most to me and fill my cup.

When I was offered to shoot an engagement session on a family farm, it was a “hell yeah” for me. This farm has been passed down from one generation to the next. While I only had the opportunity to spend just over an hour there, I could really tell how special this place is. Filled with chickens, horses, tractors, toys, tall trees, and green grass. It’s home. I’m excited to capture their wedding here on their farm in September of 2025.
