Secchia Meadows Golden Hour Engagement Session

I recently had the opportunity to photograph an intimate engagement session with some friends from high school at Secchia Meadows in Millennium Park in Walker, MI. It was a beautiful day with perfect lighting, making for some stunning photos.

The entire day had been threatening rain, followed by a couple hours of sprinkles, then some super dark clouds. We knew the photos would be beautiful no matter what, but the couple really wanted golden hour vibes. So when the sun peeked through the clouds just 15 minutes before their session began, I was elated.

I wanted to capture the candid moments between the couple, showcasing their love and connection. We laughed and had fun during the session, which translated into bright and joyful photos.

The natural beauty of Secchia Meadows provided a gorgeous backdrop for the photos, adding to the overall atmosphere of the session.

The couple had initially been torn on the location for their photos; they loved the thought of a beach session but also wanted meadows and trees. I suggested Secchia Meadows in Millennium park (also known as The Meadows at Millennium Park) because I knew it would give them the best of both worlds. The meadows are filled with wildflowers, trees, bike paths, open fields, and water features. The couple's happiness and excitement was evident in every shot.

Overall, the engagement session was a success, and I am grateful to have been able to capture such special moments for my friends. It was a fun and memorable experience that resulted in beautiful photos that they will cherish forever.
