Puppy Photos at Connor’s Bayou

Taylin and Brock wanted to capture some precious moments with their adorable puppy, Moose, while he was still a pup. We decided to head to Connor's Bayou in Grand Haven for the photo shoot, and let me tell you, this location did not disappoint.

The bayou provided the perfect scenic views without having to trek far, making it ideal for a relaxed and candid photoshoot. Connor’s Bayou has a charming cabin with a balcony overlooking the grand river, a scenic lookout point, a grassy hill perfect for rolling around with Moose, and tall, majestic trees that served as a stunning backdrop for our photos.

We were blessed with the golden hour light filtering through the trees, casting a warm and inviting glow over the entire scene. The atmosphere was so fun as Taylin and Brock played with Moose, capturing genuine and heartfelt moments that truly reflected the love they shared for him.

As a photographer, my goal was to capture the bright and fun energy of the couple and Moose, while also showcasing the natural beauty of the surroundings. I wanted to create images that felt organic and authentic, allowing their personalities to shine through in every frame.

Of course, every photoshoot comes with its own set of challenges, such as wrangling a playful puppy who was more interested in attempting to eat walnuts than posing for the camera. But despite the occasional chaos, the session was filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable moments that made it all worth it.

The images we captured were not just photos, but cherished memories that Taylin, Brock, and Moose will treasure for years to come. It was a pleasure to be a part of their story, and I am grateful for the opportunity to document their love and happiness in such a beautiful setting.
