Echo Fusion Healing Arts is a sacred space for well-being. Owned by Marie Rothenberger, a strong, down-to-earth woman who just so happens to be the mother to one of my best friends from high school. Marie offers a variety of services including mediation, massage, sound healing journeys (sound baths), Reiki/Holy Fire Reiki, and Akashic Records readings.

Marie wanted to get some updated photos for her website to refresh her page with brighter and warmer colors along with updated photos of herself since it had been a few years since she had professional photos taken for her business. I was invited into her sacred space to capture a variety of images for her use on different pages of her website. We captured images of her instruments, her performing a sound healing on her daughter, Ana, who modeled for us, Reiki, and headshots.

Other than the massage aspect of Echo Fusion, I’m not familiar with each of the services Marie offers. Whenever I am asked to capture something I’m not familiar with, I enter the space with an open mind, ready to observe. For the first 10-15 minutes of the session I start by capturing wide-angles of the space while noticing details and feelings. Once I understand the essence of the space I begin capturing details, focused on the purpose of each detail and what emotion or feeling the image needs to convey. I think the photos turned out so magical. Looking at them truly feels like I’m right back in Marie’s sacred space, experiencing her session all over again.

I loved this experience and am SO glad I said yes to this. In-home sessions will forever hold a special place in my heart, no matter what type of session, because homes are so full of personal and intimate details that are truly authentic to the person living there. It’s such an emotional space that fills my heart to be a part of.
