Holiday Minis 2024
Holiday Minis 2024 were my first mini sessions ever. I had seen so many photographers holding mini sessions and always wanted to try them, but when I received multiple inquiries for mini sessions in a row, I decided it was time to try them.
The mini sessions were held at Love; Creative Studios in Downtown Grand Rapids, MI. The studio was decked out for the holiday season with (4) different backgrounds.
Pink winter wonderland featuring sparkles, white Christmas trees, and pastel candy ornaments. This one was super unique and fun. I liked the option to either sit on the pink couch or move it and do standing portraits.
Green backdrop with Christmas ornaments dangling. I loved the amount of space this backdrop provided. Perfect for portraits sitting on the ground or standing up.
The Christmas bed was very cute. When I first saw the bed on my initial tour of the studio I had a vision of a child having a pillow fight with a parent. How cute would that be?!
My personal favorite- the green couch and “classic” Christmas scene. I absolutely loved the aesthetics of this set up with the dried orange garland hung on the mantle, the classic Christmas tree, and of course the coolest green couch.
I would definitely do mini sessions again, but next time I would opt for an outdoor location where there’s more room to create and allow for candid moments. I have a few ideas for mini sessions throughout the year next year that I hope to start advertising soon. Stay tuned!
