Cypress Grove Park, Florida Engagement Session
I had the opportunity to tag along with my husband to Florida in December. He was sent there for work, and since I work from home, I asked if I could join him. Florida in December, when it’s gloomy and snowing in Michigan, that’s a no-brainer.
We stayed Downtown Orlando for the week. I had put out a model call prior to the trip asking for a couple to model for me. Model calls like this are called “TFP” or “Time for Prints,” models are given free photos in exchange for their time. This concept is commonly practiced by photographers who are looking to try new creative concepts or build their portfolios. In this case for me I wanted to fill my time there with something I loved and let my creativity flow in a completely different environment than I’m used to.
I researched locations within the general Orlando area and narrowed it down to three options. I sent the options to my Tommy + Adriana, the models, and let them pick. Adriana was drawn to Cypress Grove Park for its beautiful Spanish Moss hanging from the trees. The park was truly gorgeous; the bridge, waterfront, gazebo, and estate house, which happens to be a wedding and event venue!
I’m utterly obsessed with the golden light shining through the mossy trees in these photos. The weather was perfect, the session was so fun and low-stress, and of course the location was beautiful.
