Intimate Living Room Proposal

Jarrod proposed to Jessica surrounded by their closet friends and family in the living room of their new home on April 20th, 2024 during what Jessica thought was simply a housewarming party. Little did she know, the party was really a cover for Jarrod’s surprise.

Jarrod secretly grabbed the kids during the party and had them change into matching white outfits, his son Bodhi wore a white suit coat to match and the girls, Natalya and Eden, wore sweet little white dresses. Bodhi had known his dad planned to propose for months. He was able to keep this a secret, but the best part was that Bodhi asked his dad “What if she says no?” Jarrod said “I don’t think we need to worry about that buddy.” (How cute?!)

During Jarrod’s proposal, he highlighted the years of their love story. He said the theme of their story has been doing things “out of order.” Three kids and two houses later, it’s time to make things official. Before getting down on one knee, Jarrod turned to his kids and asked them: “What do you think, should mom have the same last name as us?”

I couldn’t be happier for Jarrod and Jess. Witnessing their down-to-earth love for each other over the past few years has been such a gift. I’m so lucky to call these two my friends.
